Richard Montgomery High School's Charlotte Turesson(1283) overtook Annapolis High School's Anna Coffin (29) to finish 2nd in the 4A Classification of the State Cross Country Championship with a time of 19:18.84 for the 3 mile course.

Richard Montgomery High School's Charlotte Turesson finished 2nd in the 4A Classification of the State Cross Country Championship with a time of 19:18.84 for the 3 mile course just beating Annapolis High School's Anna Coffin by less than a second with a time of 19:19.71. The 4A winner was Bronwyn Patterson of South River High School with a time of 19:06.19.

The 4A winner was Bronwyn Patterson of South River High School with a time of 19:06.19.

According to MoCo Running, “they are the first male teammates to finish one-two in the Maryland 4A classification since 2001, and the first from Montgomery County to do it since 1992”.
